We know that their nervous systems are dysregulated - thats what happens with little ones as they require external input to help regulate their nervous systems. What we need to do is dig deeper and find out WHY and WHAT we can do to assist their dysregulated nervous system - and that is where a trained diagnostic paediatric chiropractor steps in - no guess work. Just genuine diagnostics and education without the flash.

Here at My Family Chiro, we understand that there may be a certain perception about chiropractors, and even more so about paediatric chiropractors.
However, there is a difference between different styles of paediatric chiropractors and their training, which is why we strongly suggest seeing a chiropractor who has done further study in paediatrics through accredited programmes.
Read below for what you can expect at one of our paediatric appointments - I am a trained paediatric chiropractor with a two-year diploma in paediatrics through the Australian College of Chiropractic Paediatrics and have been treating paediatric cases for over 12 years.

While it is possible for any practitioner to have an interest in paediatrics, there are differences in the way all chiropractors work with paeds.

At My Family Chiro, we are extremely thorough in our approach and testing - this isn't guess work. This is based on documentation and charting as well as in-room tests - similar to what a GP or Registered nurse would do for you in your little ones follow up appointments.
Things that are included as a standard and regular part of our baby appointments:
- Baby weighing
- Length
- Head circumference measurements
- Fontanel assessments and measurements
- Hip assessments
- Plagiocephaly checks
- ear and eye checks
- tongue tie assessments
- neurological tests such as MSR's and primitive reflexes
- Various Questionnaires such as Ages and Stages to assess developmental milestones, Woodside Charting, Growth Chart Monitoring, as well as post-natal depression screening for mothers
